Fees and bands

Every figure, and who decides which one is yours

You do. There are three bands, they are printed below with the sentence that describes each one, and you tell us on the call which is yours. No payslip, no form and no conversation about your household unless you start one. The limit on the lower two bands is arithmetic rather than suspicion: the practice can only carry so many at a time, so we print how many are open instead of saying "places available".

These sentences are the whole test. If two of them fit, take the lower. If your circumstances change in either direction part-way through, say so and we move you — nobody is asked to leave because they moved down a band.

Full fee

You are in work and the fee is uncomfortable rather than impossible.

You are studying, between jobs, on one income, or holding up a household on a single salary.

Lowest fee

Paying the reduced fee would mean going without something you need. We do not ask for proof.

The full fee is what subsidises the other two. That is the entire mechanism, and it is why the reduced and lowest places run out rather than being handed to everyone who asks.

Including the two that are not sessions: what a cancellation costs and what a missed hour costs. Nothing is added to these. There is no registration fee, no assessment fee and no charge for a phone call between sessions.

The cancellation rules, in the words we use

Said here rather than discovered on an invoice. More than 24 hours' notice and there is nothing to pay, whatever the reason, and we do not ask for one.

A session you cancel inside 24 hours

Half the fee. More than twenty-four hours' notice and there is nothing to pay.

Couples

One fee between two of you

Seventy-five minutes for two people. One fee between you, however you split it.

Length: 75 minutes, because fifty leaves one of you with fifteen
Full fee: JMD 14,000 for the session, not each
Lowest fee: JMD 4,500 for the session, not each

How you divide it between you is not our business and we never ask. You can also start on your own even when the relationship is the subject, at the individual fee — plenty of people do, and it is often the more useful piece of work.
